Malmaison Belfast

Malmaison Belfast sits within a listed former seed mill, a building with layers of history. Our design approach was to be sensitive to the architecture, retaining its character while introducing bold contemporary elements that bring the interiors to life.

The reception makes a strong first impression. A backdrop of timber slats with brass flowers creates a striking focal point, while breakout areas offer relaxed spaces to sit, with bespoke artwork picking up on themes from the surrounding architecture.

The restaurant has been reimagined with a strong palette, bold colours set against black and white fabrics. Panelling incorporates abstract references to the flax flower, a subtle nod to Belfast’s linen industry.

The PDA rooms have been designed for both dining and meetings, the rooms adapt easily while keeping a consistent look and feel with the rest of the interiors.
